Your Smart Home goes hand in hand with a Professional Home Network

Install your Home Network with Systems Design for a reliable Smart Home System

Your Smart Home goes hand in hand with a Professional Home Network

Why is a solid network crucial to a smart home system or just a home in general?

It is important for your home to run efficiently, therefore a professional home network is an important key factor in making your smart home operate reliably.

A strong home network is a foundation to any electronic lifestyle you would like to achieve.  Let’s take a few steps back, when you build a home, the first important key factor is a strong foundation.  Likewise, in a smart home, a strong network is the foundation of all electronic integrations in your home.

If you are investing thousands of dollars into your smart home equipment, the performance of the devices is only as good as the network they are on.  The reality is that the comcast router will not work for your whole house smart home equipment, this solution might do the trick for a small studio or a one-bedroom condo, but if you are planning to integrate a lot of technology, and want a smooth, fast and reliable network – a Home Network is the first step to making all run flawless.

STOP for a second and lets think, you are building a new home, or just moved into a large home – you have a few phones, lets say you have 4-5 smart TV”s, a few laptops, a few iPad, including children’s devices that connect to the network, whole house audio system with multi-zones of audio, a home automation system that will control your thermostats, oh yes – your smart thermostats also connect to your WIFI- in a large home you have about 4-8 of them, you have Lutron or Savant Lighting that you will control from your Home Automation – each dimmer connects to a network.  Lighting alone you have about 15-25 devices that will connect to your WIFI. An average home has about 40-60 devices and it could go up higher the more devices are connected to the network.  A simple router from your provider will simply not do the trick.

A solid network is back bone to your smart home.  If you have a poor one, it will produce poor audio quality, and video streaming, slow speed and failed attempts to connect to your smart home system.

How Can Systems Design Help You?

Our process includes designing a home network system that will support your smart home and your lifestyle.  We will take steps to assess the system and ensure the connection is strong and reliable and is handling all of your smart home technology.  We use the best of home network technology available.  We install home networks, every week, and are very knowledgeable in getting the networking done and done right for you.  We will install and configure everything.  Not only you can pause the network, you will have the option of resetting it remotely from your computer or phone, and not having the need to go behind the AV Rack and finding the equipment that possibly need to be reset.

Contact Systems Design today to develop a plan to upgrade your Home Network.

Motorized Shades Simply Modern and Automated for Your Lifestyle

SHADES ARE CUSTOM DESIGNED AND FITTED EXACTLY TO YOUR WINDOWS

Motorized Shades Simply Modern and Automated for Your Lifestyle

The Motorized shading industry is competitive, however that only means the prices are better and the options are endless.

Options for length, colors samples, materials and style that are simple, elegant, clean and sophisticated.

Fully customized motorized shades that you can control from your Home Automation system or a smart device.

There are options to have pockets built that way the shades are not visible. Simple and elegant design exposes no wires or motors.  We can coordinate with your contractor or carpenter to have that all taken care of for you.

We come in to prewire the shades, install the shades, and do all the measuring for the shades and fabric, so the only thing you have to worry about is if you would like to create a scene to incorporate shades opening up during certain time of day, or enjoy the simplicity of pressing goodnight and the shades close automatically.

The motorized shading solutions that we recommend are the following:

SAVANT SHADES

Simply modern and automated for your lifestyle.

The intuitive Savant Pro App lets you control your shades with the touch of a button or a simple voice command. Create scenes and schedules with ease.

Why Savant Shades?

SAVANT SHADES ARE CUSTOM DESIGNED AND FITTED EXACTLY TO YOUR WINDOWS

Create scenes with your shade placement to match time of day, the position of the sun, or to suit your moods. Schedule them for energy efficiency or make your own "Movie Night Scene" that turns on the TV and speakers and closes the shades.

Savant Shades give you the whole package, from beautiful interior design to custom crafted home automation.

TAILORED STYLE AT YOUR CONTROL

Savant Shades are custom built with a modern design aesthetic and meticulously crafted to exacting detail. Shades integrate directly into the Savant Pro system for full automation and control.

LUTRON SHADES

Probably the most popular motorized shading solution available today. It’s an aesthetic and affordable sun-blocking solution that runs on battery powered rollers.

It’s easy to use and the variety of fabrics and materials will help you choose a design that fits your needs. In the package you will get two types of remote controllers, one that works for multiple groups of shades and another one that is designed for a single shade or a group of shades.

Why Lutron Serena?

Inspired: Before & After in Historic Beacon Hill

Feautured by: New England Home Magazine: Systems Design Inspired Before & After

The Goal:

Our client wanted to incorporate fine architectural details into his new home, keeping interior design at a high standard, while incorporating a full high-end audio video system for the five-floor historic Beacon Hill house.

The Challenges:

Due to the ceiling height and the layout of the house, we had to design an audio video system in the family room that is not only of high quality, but also keeps aesthetics in mind.  In addition, the interior designer did not want the TV visible, so we installed a custom automated-motorized bracket that, with a remote, would being the screen in and out of a built-in. Keeping in mind the strong emphasis on interior design, the client still wanted a great-sounding subwoofer, so we installed two in-ceiling Artison subwoofers that have zero wall vibrations.  In addition, the client wanted to use a finfer as a front door key, which would also serve as an intercom system.  The look had to meet the Beacon Hill historical requirements.

The Design Summary:

Five floors of the house were designed, pre-wired, and installed for whole-house audio, surround sound, home automation, a finger-print door-entry intercom system, and a dedicated media room.  We installed Martin Logan Vanquish in-ceiling speakers through-out, including a waterproof speaker in the master bathroom. We expanded the network for the client to have full coverage throughout the house. The entire AV system was designed and programmed by audio visual designer/owner Angel Centeno and installed by the Systems Design installation technicians.

Rotel Bringing high performance, high value, AV products to music and movie enthusiasts for 55 years. Elevating performance beyond expectations.  The right choice if you are passionate about home theater and are looking to create the highest quality audio/video system possible. Rotel has over 50 years of electronic design, precision engineering and manufacturing expertise. We know through experience that we can’t rely on a simple “textbook” formula to produce great results. Creating musical magic is as much art as it is science. Parts that measure the same may not sound the same. Identical parts can be oriented in different ways in a signal path and produce different results. That’s why our engineers obsess about listening to our designs at every stage of engineering through to final production.

Classé is Canada’s leading maker of high-performance music and theater components. Since building our first amplifier in 1980, passion and dedication have inspired the research that yields Classé’s outstanding no-compromise electronics.

Situated just outside Montréal, the Classé headquarters is home to the Classé Design team. Co-founder Mike Viglas, at the helm of Classé for more than thirty years, began his involvement as an audiophile and entrepreneur who fell in love with the original Classé amplifiers, designed by co-founder David Reich. Since the beginning, Classé components have been the product of listening, investment and technology. In 2001, Classé became part of the B&W Group.

For those who invest in a Classé-based system, the entertainment experience can be truly breathtaking. Every Classé component is designed and built to last a lifetime; to engage and involve, long after its price is forgotten. For more information please contact Systems Design.
